One of the best and most often used ways to design a flower bed that is full of beautiful flowering plants, and wonderful aromas is to take full advantage of flower beds, as well as utilizing boarders for definition in your graden. Flower bed designs are much more than just a collection of your favorite plants, they are suppose to bring a sense of balance and symmetry to a tired, and dull back yard.
So what are flower beds, and where are they best utilized in your backyard? There are generally two different type of flower bed designs, island beds, and border beds. Island flower beds are free standing planting ares that can be fully viewed from every side. These bed are best utilized for large backyards, border flower beds are viewed from one side and are often backed up against a fence or the wall of your home. Border flower bed designs are best used for small gardens. Starting your flower bed with come borders can help give you the privacy you need while at the same time giving you some incredible color pallats to your backyard.

What a beautiful flower! Love both the colours and the flowing shape. I’ve just begun making silk ribbon flowers so I was looking for new inspiration — and happened to stumble over this one. It’s just gorgeous.
